By NO means a museum grade trailer queen, but a @$#! good complete 48 with a clear title!!! I know it needs a battery, a Drivers side front brake line (The brakes worked FINE but it blew a pinhole in that front hard line),MAYBE a steering sector (the steering has a little extra play but not terrible) and the E Brake adjusted and/or reworked. I am including a newly cleaned and painted 6 volt generator, underseat heater fan, "donut" radiator for same, original underseat heater duct and shroud, all of which look good and work perfectly. Sold as is; no warranty. It IS 64 years old....Hope I look half as good when I am Winning Bidder: $500 non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction close. On Jan-14-12 at 19:15:04 PST, seller added the following information:I replaced the punctured brake line today, and bled the brakes a bit. the wheels stop now. Also, if you are getting shipping quotes, the zip code here in Belton is 76513.On Jan-16-12 at 21:27:47 PST, seller added the following information: The car has the original 216 with the three on the tree, No knocks or smoke or any of that. just that nice sewing machine running sound. I personally did the engine up top, polished all the push rods and lifters by hand!!,cleaned and rebuilt washers, springs, valves, oiling tower, piston tops, intake and exhaust manifolds, and carbuerator. I've driven it up the road a couple miles, but the steering was loose enough for me to have to take it slow. It shifted through all the gears just fine, including reverse. I haven't had the tranny open because it seems just fine. The clutch is great! Strong and tight. Let's see. It starts super easy no choke , It runs smooth, It moves, it stops,It's almost there, but nope, it's not a daily driver quite yet.If I were you, I would replace all the brake lines, they're cheap and you cant be too safe, ya know? And that steering sector/worm. If you have a classic or have driven them, you know what I mean when I say she has drift play. These aren't expensive fixes, and when they are done, BAM!!! super bada$$ driver! Oh, yeah, one more thing. I have a period original Air cleaner I've restored and painted that I'm going to include in the sale! GOOD LUCK!!!
