Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1978 Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. This is a great condition pace car that is about 80% restored. It runs great, cold a/c, etc. I have put alot of time and money in this car and with a little more it can be a show piece. The L-82 engine has been rebuilt and has around 31,XXX miles since the rebuild. This car has the factor CB radio in it, which makes it very rare. I just had new tires and exhaust put on the car. There are too many details to list individually so look at the pictures and if you have any specific questions please dont hesitate to ask. At this price I am just trying move it quickly and is a steal. Obviously there is no warranty and is sold as is. Local pick up is obviously preferred, but transport is solely the responsibility of the buyer as is any inspection. Good luck bidding. On Jan-05-12 at 14:00:46 PST, seller added the following information: After doing some research I have compiled some answers to some questions I was receiving. The engine as far as I can tell is the L48, that is based off of the VIN and some old paper work, I didnt find a way to tell by looking at the engine itself. So it is being sold as an L48. As far as the miles on the car, I went through all the old paper work, and they are all progressively listed up to where it is at now, 32,XXX. I have found no indication that it is 132k, but I also am not 100% it hasnt been turned back. The title lists the miles as exempt. The steering wheel just had wear from normal use and was not broken or torn, the cover was just put on for looks and protection. The rims looked in great condition to me, didnt notice and curb damage. The brakes have had no problems since we have owned it and have had no indication they need replacement, that being said they have not been inspected since they have had no problems. I went through the old records/paper work that came with the car. It has alot of receipts for the work that has been done to it and you are welcome to go through it. Of note is that all 4 shocks have been replaced and have the lifetime warranty. It has the receipts for the A/C work and I some other normal wear and related work. The battery and tires, as I mentioned are also new. All this being said the car is a 1978 and it is not in mint condition, but for $10k it is a great car and with a little money can be excellent. I drove it around today and it sounds great and runs good.
