1973 FORD BRONCO RANGER 4X4 SPORT EDITION As a part of our ESTATE SALE is this wonderful "2 1/2 year long" "Frame-Off Restoration"from 6/2009 thru 11/2011. Original 1973 California Bronco Ranger Sport out of District Code "71" The Los Angeles Assembly Plant. Vehicle ID Plate reads as follows: VIN COLOR MODEL BODY TRANS AXELU15GLR334XX U U152 G4 G B9 W.B. MAX. GVW LBS. DISTRICT CODE 092 04900 71 Engine Code is 4th Letter in Vin (G)=8cyl. V8-302Color U= Limestone Green Poly/Metallic Paint.Model U152= Bronco Wagon w/ Removable Hardtop.Body G4=Trim and Body code for Ranger Edition and Sport Package.Trans G= C4 3Speed Automatic.Axel B9= 3.50 LockW.B. 092= Wheel Base 92 Inches.D.C. 71= District Code 71 for (Los Angeles) Purchased in June 2009 for this restoration. This 73' Bronco had it's original Ford Limestone Green Poly/Metallic paint, stripes and decals, and zero rust...even the Hardtop and all the roof-rails and body panels were fully intact. It looked as though the Hardtop had never been off the truck before. This Bronco is an amazing all matching #'s truck. The Bronco was discovered with all of it's original carpeting, seats, door panels, side panels, hardtop, headliner and hardware intact. The odometer was @ 28,120. It is very possible that this is the correct and original milage. I was informed that the Bronco spent most of it's time on a ranch at the base of Mt.Baldy and between the Mohavi Desert area of California. The climate in this region of California is known to be relatively hot and dry. I looked it over good and studied the truck for about 30 minutes and I quickly realised that I had never seen a cleaner, straighter and more complete Bronco before, accept for a few minor nicks and a healthy sunburn...every nut, bolt, and washer was orginal and intact. I got in it, started it up and drove it home without a hitch...over 100 miles down south to La Jolla, in the San Diego area. The project started in June of 09' and 2 1/2 years later we completed it last month in November of 2011. The Bronco has since been shown off at several Southern California car shows including the "GoodGuys" Del Mar Auto Show... and it got a ton of complements :) If you expect and demand the very best, this is it!!! I really don't see how anybody could do a more thorough and complete restoration, without just being way over the top, excessive or extravagant! This is a 100 point restoration w/ no exspense spaired. The Bronco starts up on the very first click, just idles perfectly and can "bust it loose" whenever. It also sounds awsome, has a nice low Magnaflow tone. The trucks stance is solid and fantastic. It drives with the power and grace of a true muscle car. The Power Steering system is super easy yet tight and the Power Dual Master brakes are brand new throughout...Purple "DOT 5" Silicone Brake Fluid "Only" will ensure a lifetime of corrosion free brakes.
