Beautifully restored 1968 Ford Mustang convertible that was built in San Jose, CA and delivered to Cole Ford in Oakland, CA where it was sold to the original owner in 1968. Meticulously maintained by the first owner this Mustang stayed in California its entire life and was offered for sale for the first time in 1999, when the current owner purchased the car in San Francisco. There are extensive records that go with the car dating back to 1970, and include two engine rebuilds, one in 1973 and the other in 1983. The "J" code 302 C.I. V8 was good for 230 horsepower from the factory and came mated with a four speed manual transmission, both of which run extremely well to this day. Ordered in the popular Lime Gold Metallic color this Mustang received a re-paint in the mid-1980's and still has excellent paint with good luster today. Highly optioned with power steering, power front disc brakes, power soft top, cruise control, and headrests on the front seats this is the perfect weekend convertible.
