1993 Geo Metro LSi Up for sale today is my 1993 Geo Metro LSi, I love her dearly but it's time for her to go. IF YOU CANNOT PAY, DONT BID! About my blue egg: I bought this car a couple years ago from the previous owner who I knew and I drove it daily back and forth to school. I havent driven it recently because both CV joints in the front gave out and it makes a horrid noise when I try to drive it which also causes the front wheels to bow at a dangerous angle. If you win my Geo you will HAVE TO tow it because the CV joints need to be replaced. Detailed stuff: The car is in fair exterior condition with the usual scratches, minor dents, dings, etc to expect from a high mileage 18 year old car. The paint is okay (was repainted a few years ago) it is just the slightest bit faded on the passenger side but it cleans up nice! The hood has a few dings but you cant really see them. The windshield has a horizontal crack that runs the length of the windshield but it doesnt obstruct view. It has three NEW tires with less then 300 miles on them, one of the tires is ugly and needs to be replaced. Bumpers are fine but a little loose. All the lights work on this car both interior and exterior wise. Interior of the car is in very good shape for its age with there being no rips or tears in the carpet. The seats were a bit ugly so I put covers that make it look nice. The dash has two cracks from the hot Texas sun so they've been repaired with tape, woo for tape! The radio is a MP3/USB/Aux radio that works with an ipod. It does have Air Conditioning but I removed the belt because it gets better mileage without it. The seatbelt on the drivers side no longer retracts and the windshield wiper control arm broke off. No rips or tears in the headliner, in A+ shape! All the gauges on the instrument cluster work fine. There is high grade pretty expensive privacy tint on the rear of the car and the side windows. It was done at a shop and was done very well and cost quite a bit. Trunk opens fine but the struts dont hold it up anymore. The car still starts and runs fine, but it doesnt drive due to the CV joint issue. Needs the belts tightened because they squeal sometimes, the engine does leak oil pretty nicely so I put a quart in every 500 miles. The transmission is okay but my mechnic says the shift solenoids are going out so I have to shift it like a manual transmission (ie, shifting 1, 2, 3 in a row). There is NO RUST whatsoever, not the slightest amount anywhere on the entire car! This car is so rust free it is amazing! The passenger door opens from the inside but not the outside because of some stupid issue. So overall this is a used old high mileage car that has issues I'm not willing to repair. If you replace both CV boots the car should drive okay. I was driving it with the solenoid issue with no problem for a couple years. The tags are both expired because it broke right as it needed to be renewed. You MUST tow it because of the issues it has. I WILL NOT ship out of the United States. I would also accept a trade in the form of another Geo of some kind, maybe another Metro or Storm or even a Prizm (must be running).
