Up for bids is my 1972 all original Buick Riviera. I am the second owner and have owned it for 12 years. It has the original, numbers matching, 455 cu. in. 4 barrel V8 and Turbo Hydramatic 400 Transmission with a 12 bolt positraction rear end. The body and interior are in generally good shape as evident in the pictures. It has power windows, power steering, power brakes, power driver’s seat and cruise control. Factory A/C needs to be charged. It has the original AM/FM 8 Track stereo radio. It has the speed alert feature, where you set a speed reminder for yourself and if you surpass it, it beeps to alert you. The transmission has less than 5,000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. The engine has a bad head gasket and needs to be rebuilt. The dual exhaust system was replaced several years ago and is still in excellent condition all the way back with no rust. The paint is original. The chrome bumpers still shine like a mirror after 39 years (see pictures). The rear coil springs were replaced about 3 years ago . The headliner is in perfect shape with no rips or tears, and is black in color. All glass is in good shape. The original vinyl floor mats with the Buick logo are there with no tears. Wheels are the original Buick chrome wheels and look good. The tires have a good amount of tread left. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no crack or fading and is black in color. The door armrests have a small tear as shown. The front seats have rips that are taped. The rear seat looks like new. There are three small dents on the body, one on the right rear quarter panel near the side marker light with some surface rust above it. There is one on the left quarter panel behind the driver’s door with some rust, and a crease in the passenger door. There is also rust behind the passenger side front wheel well. Other than that, the body is straight. The top needs to be replaced. The trunk floor is rusted and needs replacement. There is a hole in the floor board behind the passenger seat.
