Vehicle Detail

Note: This car has not ran for many years. It is in rough condition, but... Great car for a restoration project or collector needing impossible to find parts. Numbers matching all original and complete Just like the original sales brochure cover page of 1969 Worth the starting bid price in heavy metal alone. 440 ci engine 3 speed automatic transmission. See this link for more information: http://www.imperialclub.com/ See this link for additional information: http://blog.cardomain.com/2010/04/13/the-cardomain-obscure-muscle-car-parking-lot-the-1969-73-imperial-coupe/ In keeping with the times, the look was sleeker, with a reduced, more subtle level of trim. For the first time, the lights were hidden behind doors, giving a fashionable at the time full-width grille look using "loop" bumpers. Only this year the Imperial featured sequential turn signals. 1969 was the final year for pillared sedans, and it was also the first year for the Imperial LeBaron coupe. At 229.7 inches Imperial would once again be the longest non-limousine car made in America, and would remain so through 1973 when it would set the post WW II record for non-limousine car length. 22,083 were produced for Imperial's third best ever year. This car was my mothers car and has been in the family for many years. I would rather see someone restore it or use it for parts than see it crushed. It weighs about 5000 lbs. and at todays prices for scrap metal it is worth a lot. Car is for sale locally as well so please understand if this listing ends early. If you have questions call me (229) 324-3163 or email watllc@gmail.comOn Dec-26-11 at 14:50:49 PST, seller added the following information: Please Note: Now that I have interested bidders, to be fair to everyone, I have decided (NOT) to accept local offers. This auction will continue until the time runs out. This auction will (NOT) be ending early as stated earlier. Today I went out and put a battery it just to see if the engine would turn over...Yep, there was that familer Chrylser starter sound. The engine is free and with some new hoses and such I feel it would most likely start. Didn't want to try any futher because I am sure it needs an oil change. For additional photos please go to this link: http://wrightaircrafttechnology.com/for_sale/Chrysler_Imperial I have the original title still in my dads name from 1972. It is signed by him and ready for the new owner. I truly hate to see this rare car go, but I have not the time or money to repair it properly.
