My wife has decided to put up her 62 VW Truck for sale so here it is.... Truck was redone approx 8 years ago and overall pretty good shape. Appearance wise you could drive it and not worry about a thing..... drives good. Is showing some age and needing redone if you would like it to be show ready.... and our price reflects this. These things totally restored can fetch as high as $55,000 we have seen. We aren't those kind of people so selling like it is. This IS a true VW truck, not a conversion as we still are asked... there were limited amounts of these brought to US because the "Chicken Tax" designed to stop markets flooded by imports killed imports. This model after research was a flatbed model, rarer than ALL other of the trucks because there were so few of these brought in, in other words, there are no side folding bed rails. But another thing that makes this model special is that it has double treasure chest doors. Has Safari windows. Motor is a 1600 single and runs great.. was new when last restore done. Things I know needed: New Generator or as many do, change to starter New shift linkage, still shiftsok for a 62 but would be a little smoother, and yes it stays in gear There is some rust and a few of the frame/bed trusses should be replaced if restoring, all of which available fairly cheap through bus boys, or of the many other VW parts suppliers We listed before we went to our Summer home and are now back down South for winter so re-listing. This is a KILLER piece for someone with a frontage business, total eye catcher and will DRIVE business in... literally.
