I have for sale a 1999 VW New Beetle. This car has the hard to find 1.9l TDI diesel engine with manual transmission. It is black with black interior. The interior is in very good shape with the exception of the head liner which is sagging, and the passenger side seat lever that flips the seat up for back seat riding passengers is missing. I think the plastic lever is only $20 from the dealership. The exterior paint is in good shape all around except the hood which has faded spots and one small spot, about the size of a quarter of surface rust. But as you can see from the pictures, it is very clean overall. The car drives very well and shifts very smoothly. The clutch is in excellent working condition with no slippage. It has a NEW Virginia State inspection sticker so you don't need to worry about that for another year, if your in VA. It will expire in 12/12. It has had a lot of maintenance items replaced this month to include a new timing belt, new timing belt idlers and tensioner, new water pump, new starter, new radio antenna, new MAF sensor, fresh oil and filter change (with 5W-40 synthetic), new fuel filter, new serpentine belt, new battery, and a new backup/reverse light sensor. I hate to sell it but I have too many cars in the driveway, so it needs to go. You can email me through eBay to set up a time to come look at it/ test drive it. It is YOUR responsibility to ask questions and to come look at the car. You are more than welcome to test drive it. Remember that if you win, it is your responsibility to pay for the car. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit due at the end of the auction, which you can pay through PayPal. The remainder of the funds are due at the time of pickup via Cashiers Check or Cash. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED and if you bring a cashiers check, I will call your bank to verify funds. I have had cashiers checks bounce in the past and it is no fun.
