Vehicle Detail

[UPDATED, SEE BELOW] No reserve North Canton, Ohio: A rare 1953 MG TD Mark 1, right-hand drive car at an 80% restoration to a period-correct rally car. Vehicle was found as a barn find without much left of a body tub, so a "trailer queen" restoration wasn't called for. Seller has been tapped to relocate for work a good distance away, which is the only reason I would get rid of this beloved project car. The engine, a Gold Seal period factory replacement engine has been *lovingly* rebuilt to Zero miles including all new Moss parts, with the head milled to 2.997" for 8.2 compression. New rod and main bearings, rings, professionally remachined crankshaft, gaskets and seals. Transmission is in excellent condition with no extra free play in shaft or shifter. New clutch disk and release bearing. Differential is standard 5.12. A frame-off frame restoration includes new brakes, brake lines, rebuilt master cylinder. Also included in the sale are original front wings, bonnet side curtains, doors, convertible top and frame, seats, dash, headlights, instrumentation, SU carbs and all assorted bits (these are as yet unrestored but serviceable, to my knowledge). The only things I know are missing from this car are marker and rear lights, wiring, exhaust and front splash apron. Buyer is solely responsible for picking and/or shipping from location (flatbed recommended). Cash or similar only, please. I'm afraid that due to scams and prevalence of fake checks, etc. that I must insist on these terms. Email me or phone 330 606-3640 during normal business hours. Serious Inquiries Only, please. I've posted additional photos of the original wings, steering wheel and column, windshield and a redacted image of the clear title that I have in hand. No salvage title or similar is needed. I can generally satisfy picture requests, but I can't for instance tear apart a transmission or something involved (I'm busy getting ready to relocate, hence the sale). If someone wants to view the vehicle before bidding, I believe I can accommodate most requests. Call me at the above number during business hours. Thanks!
