1974 Chevrolet Corvette with a factory 454 (the last year for big blocks in corvettes), automatic transmission, factory A/C, and T-tops. The car is still owned by the original owner and it only has a little over 19,000 actual miles. The car has been garage kept since new, but has been sitting a long time. It has never been driven during winter and has only seen rain a handful of times (mostly when new). The 454 starts and runs well. The transmission shifts good. The calipers are leaking and the brakes are very weak, so the car will need to be hauled. The undercarriage of the car is very good. The interior is nice with the exception of some wear on one spot on the drivers seat and a few stress cracks in the drivers side door panel. The engine compartment is still clean for being nearly 38 years old. The front bumper is cracked and the right front fender has chips where the neighbor's lawn mower threw a few stones several years ago while the car was parked in the driveway. The inside of the drivers door has some rust around the latch. I am selling the car for a very close friend who is very ill. I tried to describe all problem areas and have included close up pictures. This car is a great candidate for an easy restoration or you could make some minor repairs and drive as is. There is some factory paperwork that goes with the car. I used "Mt." and it is not identified in some searches. I tried to change it in the ad, but for some reason the change won't go through.On Dec-28-11 at 07:04:29 PST, seller added the following information: I had a question about the whereabouts of the original intake manifold. When I was at the hospital visiting the owner yesterday, I asked and he said that it should be in the garage somewhere. I will look today, but no guarantees. If I find it we will include it with the sale of the car. If I find it later I will ship it to the new owner. Also there have been questions about a buy it now price. Since it is so far into the auction, it is only fair that the auction run its full course. Thanks.
