Vehicle Detail

1963 Ford Fairlane: 302 engine, C4 automatic transmission, power steering, bucket seats This car is extremely solid and runs and drives great, the car has been lowered a few inches with springs in the front and shackles in the rear. The car has adjustable height rear shackles. The car can easily be raised or lowered a few inches in the rear. In a couple of the photos you can see the car sitting higher in the rear with more of a raked stance, and in the other photos it is lower with just a slight rake which is the way I have it sitting now. What makes the car exceptional is that I rarely see cars of this age unless they have been restored recently, in this kind of condition. Normally when i get classics in, floor pans, quarter, and rocker panels need replacing. This car has a nice straight solid body. The car is in need of paint if you want a show car, the paint is showing age with chips and being faded. It photographs very well. The driver side top of the door where you hang your arm out and a couple of other areas have a worn down look in the paint and the rest of the paint on the entire car has a more faded look than what you see in the photos, -making the perfect patina which cannot easily be seen in pictures. If i were keeping the car I would keep it just the way it is and drive it. I personally would not paint it but to each his own. The trunk had mild surface rust, I ran over to the bodyshop and took a photo of the trunk before it is painted, my painter had just started sanding down to bare metal. I wanted to show a picture of it prior to painting. The entire trunk pan is completely solid and will be painted before auction end. The molding on both sides of the car has a black center stripe that is worn away a little, i am going to have this repainted as well. On the driver and passenger door panels the lower part of them, the material is ruffled as you can see in one of the photos. The car rides and drives beautifully, I will try to get more pictures taken and added of the engine and interior in the next few days. It just started snowing and drizzling rain when I was outside taking the pictures. Those are drops of water on the trunk lid. If you have any questions call Mitch at 406-250-6997. i am available by phone afternoons and evenings. Do not bid unless you have funds available to pay for the car immediately. Do not bid if you have low or negative feedback score, if this is your situation call prior to bidding for my approval or your bid will be canceled. $500.00 dollar deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining balance due within 5 days of auction end. All inspections are to be performed prior to bidding. If you cannot fly in or drive in to view the car in person simply hire a qualified professional in the area to inspect the car for you.
