This 1989 Subaru Justy is one rare car! Very few were made and even less have A/C and an original tape deck. Okay, in all seriousness I love this little car, but our time to part has come. The history is that I bought her and drove her from Ohio to California and back and well... the mountains in Montana weren't as easy on her as they were the eyes. As best as I can describe it, the transmission started slipping on the way back. The symptoms are that it wont go over 30mph and has trouble climbing hills and it seems to be the transmission giving out and not the engine. I had read that it could be low pressure in the fluid due to a clogged transmission fluid filter, but this is hopeful thinking. It has sat, but the brakes have not locked and it can be started and moved around and the E brake still works. Don't expect to drive it home, but getting onto a trailer should be easy. The tires were new for the road trip and have lots of tread and hold air well. Mice got to the air filter so I threw that out and cleaned the mess (note, I have not been running it long or driving it around without an air filter.) The rear passenger side brake line developed a leak that I have not repaired, the heater assembly is opened up to vacuum out mouse houses. I think I got to all the mouse nests in the car, but it does still have some smell to it. She has an ECVT 2WD drive train. I would love to fix it all and drive her around, but I need the money and don't have the need or space for another car. I hopped in and started it up and ran it over to the neighboring electric sub-station to shoot some pictures.
