1986 Subaru Brat, motor starts and runs very well, driven frequently. Issues: broken side marker lens; probably needs alignment, because the front end vibrates above 55 MPH; right front brake pads have begun to grind a little bit; right front axle boots have been torn for a long time, although the axle still seems OK; Radio is from 1987 Subaru wagon, and does not work; clutch has been slipping mildly for a couple of years, new cat and muffler, but needs tailpipe and resonator; gas tank has a leak above quarter-full; rear shock mounts rusted loose years ago and have been bolted to the wheel wells (very effectively, I might add); and overall pretty rusty. It might be possible to restore it, but that's not my line of work, so I don't know. I did show some pics of the underside to a Subaru enthusiast a while ago, and he said it wasn't that bad. If it's just a parts car, at least it's one that you can drive (at 55 or less). Spare parts go with car. On Dec-17-11 at 09:16:55 PST, seller added the following information: I just took some better pictures that illustrate the rust along about a one-foot section of the frame rails near the front of the passenger compartment, right where they curve upward on both sides of the car.
