Vehicle Detail

1970 Challenger Western Sport Special Edition restoration project. I have a CLEAN title and original build sheet, or "Broad cast sheet" for this vehicle. Out of the factory this car was a 318, Automatic car, B7 blue with b7 blue interior, white vinyl top. The car still has the original paint with the western sport special decals. This car needs full restoration. Rust in the floor, trunk, fenders, under the rear window and lower quarters. Both doors are in excellent shape, engine bay in good shape, grill is in good shape. frame rails seem to be in good shape. Dash is there with all the seats and door panels. Interior is pretty trashed. Car has spent most of its time outside with a tarp on it. 1970 challengers are not getting any easier to find. Snag this one up at an affordable price and work on it when you have time. After some work is put into it you will have a great investment that will continue to gain value over the years. Not to mention be the envy of your friends. If you don't know what the western sport special package is here is some information on it: The name 'Western Sport Special' first appeared on 1969 Dodge Darts. In 1970 it was a version of the base Challenger with a package of options at a discounted price. It was released mid-Dec.1969 to the Los Angeles and San Francisco regions and all were built at the LA plant. The fender tag option code for the WSS is A91 and the package cost was just $199.50.For that price you received a Western Sport Special decal on the rear fenders (see photos below), a vinyl roof, a woodgrain instrument panel applique, a remote control mirror, the rim blow steering wheel, sill mouldings, belt mouldings, front splash pan scoop, cowl moulding, rear taillight Astrotone applique, pedals dress-up kit, bumper guards w/rubber inserts and F78x14 inch white side wall tyres mounted on 14" Rallye wheels. Production figures for the WSS are:145 with the 225 inch slant six engine.1,066 with a 318 inch V8 engine.381 with the 383 big block. $500 Deposit required within 44 hours of auctions end. Full payment must be made within 5 days of auctions end. Local pick up is always available but if you need the car shipped it is you, the buyers responsibility to contact the shipper and set it up. I can meet with him and help load the car. I can also hold the car for you until you are able to set up the shipping. On Dec-14-11 at 18:21:01 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that the car does still have its original fender tag and that it was a factory Air conditioning car.On Dec-16-11 at 16:50:48 PST, seller added the following information: After crawling under the car to examine it further i have come to find out that there is a rust area in the frame. It is located on the passengers side about the rear end. It is rusted through but not consuming the whole width of the frame. If you interested in tackling this project in the first place then this should not scare you. Also, going through the car and parts i have found the cluster, side rear marker lights, grill piece, most all window cranks, a large bundle of tapped up trim that is in pretty good shape and some misc. parts. The driver side wheel in the photos is crooked because the top ball joint bolt was taken out, along with some of the steering. Those parts all seem to be there just not really bolted up. I apologize for not noticing this sooner, if you have any further questions, would like to speak on the phone or would like any addition photos, and are a serious buyer feel free to message me. Thanks. On Dec-17-11 at 15:25:03 PST, seller added the following information: Here are the numbers off the fender tag from what i can tell. I did not have a wire brush around to properly clean it..
