2004 Mazda RX8. This is a body shop special or future cheap track car special (depending on who wants to do whatever with it). i am the 2nd owner. it was not ever in any accidents until 2 weeks ago. The original rotary engine had the typical problem of not wanting to start when it was warm so i had it replaced by the local mazda dealership for about $4k (see invoice - i missed the 100k warranty so had to pay out of pocket). In addition to that, they put in a new battery and i had the rear rotors and pads replaced for the state inspection. (i have those receipts but didn't take pics). The new engine has a 12 month / 12k miles warranty and currently has about 500 miles on it. Unfortunately a car wrecked in front of me so i hit him which bounced me into a mini van, so there is damage from the front bumper, front fenders, all 4 doors and maybe some other minor damage. The roof, hood, trunk and rear bumper are all unscathed from what i could see. The alignment got a little out of whack but otherwise the car seems to steer mostly straight and i have driven it at highway speeds since the accident. The car will come with stock tires and wheels, not the aftermarket black ones in the pictures. 2 of them are damaged so stock versions will be put back on. The car is all stock with the exception of a Turbo XS exhaust and test pipe (approximately $650 installed). This car is very well optioned. It has a power moonroof, leather interior, cruise, power everything including the drivers seat, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, airbags everywhere, etc.. Feel free to ask questions. I would think someone who wants a good track car would love this car as a starter. Fix a few minor body issues and go. Or if someone is a good body person they could fix it fairly cheaply and drive it on the street. The title is in my safe deposit box at my house so transfer is simple. On Dec-12-11 at 17:26:40 PST, seller added the following information: ADDITION - i have had a few questions. I will see about updating the pictures tomorrow when it is light out. I just put the stock tires and wheels back on it. The wheels are about 8.5 out of 10 for condition and are stock satin/silver wheels. They have Potenza pole positions on them with maybe 10k miles left on them. they are NOT new tires. They will easily make it home but definately not full tread tires. I have been driving the car despite it being wrecked and have only noticed the steering wheel is not centerered and around hard right turns the plastic under the left front fender drags on the tire once in a while. The car is being sold AS IS with the exception of the mazda warranty on the engine.On Dec-13-11 at 05:55:55 PST, seller added the following information: Tuesday AM - just took the new pics of the car on the stock wheels. Ask any questions. I drove the car to work and it is definately driveable. I was doing 100mph in it.
