With just 43,259 original miles, it's barely averaged 15 miles a day. This SL500 is in exquisite condition in every way and has a documented history of service. There is nothing normal about a blistering fast Mercedes roadster that looks, feels, functions and drives like a new car. You get bi-xenon headlamps (low and high beams) DVD navigation and a Bose sound system with a 6-disc CD changer. You also get an eight year old Mercedes-Benz that looks for all the world like it's three years old and it's not just because it has the mileage of a car that young. This just in from the department of overkill: the windshield heats the area around the parked wiper blades. That's right, and the wipers come on automatically when it rains too. If you're not impressed with heated headlight washer jets, how about a climate controlled glove box? In addition to having a whole bunch of stuff you never thought you needed, this SL500 also has a 5-speed automatic transmission and a 302 horsepower engine that you know you need. It has an enormous torque curve, flat as Nebraska and I'm here to tell you, this bad boy gets it on, big time. The body is straight, the paint is beyond spectacular and there is nothing "used" about this SL500. Maybe "pre-driven" is more accurate but this car was driven less than 5,500 miles a year so, how about, "pre-not-driven-too-much? This SL500 is one of the few convertibles you'll see where the top folds completely out of sight and is perfectly flat from headrests to tail light. It is also real comfortable, real fast and has really low mileage. The tires are brand new as of a few days ago and look at the smooth metal and beautiful wheels. The SL500 has roll-over protection that includes a hidden roll-bar that pops up instantly when the system senses an impending roll-over. There's also front and side airbags and a very powerful 5.0 liter V8 engine, in case you need to get away from trouble in a hurry. The gray leather looks practically new and everything in this sumptuous cabin works perfectly. Power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 12-way power seats with lumbar and a Bose sound system that can rattle the license plate of a car in the next lane. 43,243 original miles works out to about 15 miles a day since new.
