Vehicle Detail
I bought this car on E-bay, and I am finely ready to let her go back out into the world. I'm gonna sell her for about what I paid for her, but you are going to get a whole lot of love, a bucket of sweat, and about $2500 in parts with your purchase free of charge. I hauled this car up to Maine from east PA back in March 2008. It was a fun drive. The guy I got the car from didn't really know anything about her. If you look at the pictures under the hood you will notice a number of modifications, including (as far as I can tell) a power brake booster, a Holley carb, an Edilbrock intake, and what appears to be an engine tear down and rebuild (just guessing from the paint job and the power this car has). I wish I knew what was going on inside the motor, but the truth is I don't. This car drives like she has a whole lot more power than the 318 that still sits there under the hood. Could be that the the new intake and holly carb (double pumper) are what is making the difference, but those who know more about Mopar than I do tell me that they suspect the engine has been bored, and may well house a custom cam shaft. Its hard saying not knowing. I do know the following about the car: Holley double pumper carb in great shape. I like this carb, its pretty simple to get to knowEdilbrock intakePower break boosterNew front disc rotorsNew front break calipersRebuilt rear drum breaksMT valve coversNew high capacity oil pump. That was a fun job. Extensive frame strengthening. I put about 25 ft of steel on the frame, and I did a good job. The frame is tight. New dash coverRebuilt rear quarter panelsCompletely rebuilt front end including:All new ball joints. New custom stainless strut rods. (Seriously, extra nice). New front shocksCompletely rebuilt transmission. less than 100 miles on her. That one put me back $900 14 inch rear tires. These will need to be replaced soon, as they are starting to rot. This car needs the following work:Some body work on the front end. I hit a steel bollard at the car wash doing about 5 mph (homer simpson moment), and pushed the front bumper back into the headlight a little bit on the passenger side. The headlights dont open any more. This should not be a big deal. An alignment. I didn't have a chance to have her aligned after putting in the front end rebuild.A new battery.A little more body work on the rear end, but not a ton.A paint job.She needs new rubber on the back. The vinyl roof is peeling a little bit. I think you could rhino coat it and it would look sick.New seat covers. I am selling this car because I ran out of spare time, and it breaks my heart to see her sitting. If you are looking for a winter project, this car is ready for a little love, and will give you a geat summer! Questions or comments, giver me a ring at 917-501-7358.
