1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Restoration Project. 351 Cleveland 4V, FMX auto, 9 in rear end, air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, center console, Premium Sound (AM/ 8-Track Stereo), and shaker hood (not originally a shaker car though). 45,345 original miles. It is a real Mach 1 with the 351 Cleveland 4V motor. It is the original motor and has the last numerals of the VIN code stamped on the back of the engine block. The motor has been overhauled and is complete except for the carburetor. I also have the original cast exhaust manifolds. It is a FMX automatic car. I have a 1970 date coded FMX transmission but it is not the original one. It will need to be inspected or overhauled if necessary. The car has been in the south all of it's life and has no rust anywhere, other that light surface rust here and there, with the exception of a small spot in the driver's floor under the gas and brake pedal which has been repaired. Other than that, the floor pans, frame rails, trunk floor and everything are completely original and rust free. Most of the sheet metal is new. No bondo. The paint is the original Medium Red but is driver quality only at this time. It has the original 9 inch rear end with 3.00 gears. I have all of the glass except for the windshield. I also have all of the exterior trim and interior. Some parts will be required to finish the restoration such as correct wheels and tires, bumpers, grill, carpet, seat covers, and door panels. I have some of the hard to find original parts such as shaker scoop, center console, sport lamps and switch, and rimblow steering wheel, aluminum Mach 1 rocker panel mouldings, and original Mach 1 wheel covers. which will all be included. I also have the Deluxe Marti Report and the ORIGINAL dealer invoice. This is about a $35,000 car when completed. I know there will be other questions, so feel free to ask. The paint has not been wet sanded or buffed yet. I was going to repaint the car with better paint so I didn't waste my time. Also, the driver's side shock tower has a had a few cracks welded on it which you should be able to see in the pictures. I do not have the dash pad, bumpers, grill, carpet, radiator, carb, or AC compressor. Obviously, you will need other things.
