*More Pics at www.photobucket.com/71vwpics What you are viewing is a 1971 VW Beetle Standard. I have owned it for a little less than a year I believe. I bought the car to make it into a "baja bug", and then my dad told me that if I'm gonna do that I need to get one that has rusted out fenders and stuff. He said this one was in too good of condition to tear up. This one has the teal lights frenched in, and little or no body rust. It was my daily driver to and from school until about three months ago. It was leaking oil, so my father, an old vw mechanic decided to reseal the engine for me, since he was temporarily unemployed anyway. He pulled the motor, replaced all of the seals, and installed a brand new starter, because the old one occasionally acted up. He was then hired at the local correctional facility and works 12 hour shifts, and now has no intention of fixing the car for me. The cars tires have good tread, and the car also has a pretty good sounding CD player w/ remote. What needs to be done: Mechanically, the exhaust needs to be put back on, the 2 wires and fuel line plugged in, and engine manifold bolts tightened. *New engine mount included. He changed 1 or 2 of them, and then there is one more new one that he didn't put on that is just sitting in the car. They are the performance ones for higher hp engines. *If I were going to keep the car and try to fix it up, I would personally replace the door seals and hatch/trunk seals, and you might want to install heater boxes, and running boards. (neither were present when I bought the car.) * Rear window louvers are included, but need additional hardware to be installed. (Or black caulk, lol) *I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
