Vehicle Detail

2004 HONDA CRF250X WITH STREET LEGAL TITLE and SUPERMOTO PACKAGE!!! Up for auction is a 2004 Honda CRF250X with a clear North Carolina Title. I have been riding this bike for about a year and half and it has treated me very well. Coming from the service side of the motorcycle business of nearly 10 years, I have kept the bike well maintained since I have owned it. Last year I rebuilt the cylinder head with new intake and exhaust valves and replaced the piston and rings as well. I have kept up with valve adjustments at about every 250-300 miles and changing the oil at the same time. These bike are fun to work on and will give you years of great service if you take care of them. The overall condition of the bike is about 7.5-8.0. Being that it needs a chain (non o-ring for tire clearance), stator cover gasket (provided), grips, and a battery. The beauty of the "X" model is the electric start feature. This is absolutely great!! You also have the convenience that if the battery ever dies you can kick start it very easily as well. The electrical system is in great shape and you might consider upgrading the stator to a higher output model as the lights will tend to dim while idling. The Trail Tech gauge works great and it will give you RPM's, speed (it is about 4-6 MPH off at 60 MPH), mileage (I have done about 2000) and log your trip times as well. I installed a genuine Honda ATV key switch that is hidden behind the headlight, it needs to be remounted as the vibration shook it loose. It has full high and low beam, brake light switch (on rear pedal only currently) and turn signals (LED). The suspension is completely stock and there are no seals leaking on the front and rear shocks. I weigh about 200 LBS and the rear shock could use a spring as it gets a bit soft at high speed corners. Speaking of speed, it will cruise well at about 60 MPH with the current gearing (which I can't recall what it is). There is plenty of bottom end and wheelies are a blast coming out of second gear. The top speed is about 80 MPH and with some gearing you could reach 90 most likely. If you plan on using it on back roads and never hit speeds of more than 60 MPH I would leave it alone. There is plenty of power. If you have to hit the freeways I would sacrifice a little of the bottom end and move to some taller gearing. The wheels are from Warp 9 (we are a dealer for them) and the tires are Michelin Pilot Powers. The front is your common 120/70-17 and the rear is a 160/60-17. They are in great shape and will be fine for another 1000 miles at least. There is an over sized front rotor with stock calipers in the front and rear. This bike will stop on a dime. I am sure it could put you on your face if you grab too much front brake. They have saved me many times. Brake pads are in great shape and will last for a long time as well. It has had all the basic mods to the air box, pink wire, removing the emissions hoses etc... The exhaust is factory with the baffle removed. Sounds good and works well. I don't think that adding a pipe will do much for this bike. If you want to change it for looks, go ahead but don't expect it to become an "R" model by simply changing the header and silencer. The bike also comes with two stock front wheels, stock rear wheel, original speedo with cable, and a brand new rear tire for the dirt wheels. It also has a couple of shrouds and a front fender. This is will make someone very happy as a daily commuter or just to have as a toy. It gets excellent fuel mileage, about 105 miles to the tank, it is a 2.5 gallon tank, so you do the math. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to answer them as quickly as possible. Being in the international shipping business (www.marine-point.us) we are more than equipped to crate and ship this motorcycle to any country in the world. Just ask and I will have a rate for you within 24 hours. Thanks again for taking the time to read through my auction and happy bidding!!
