Vehicle Detail
1974 Honda CB750 "Four" Approximately 25k Miles Runs and Rides Awesome! I purchased this bike mid summer of 2011. I saw it and I had to have it. I used the bike to do some DIY stories on my website and have a nice summer cruiser for around the lakes. It also achieved "Ton Up" status with me on it..... It's fast. The previous owner did some extensive work on the bike. The carbs were all rebuilt and synced with Pod filters added. The Continental tires have less than 1,000 miles on them. He had the front suspension rebuilt and put new adjustable coils on the back. It is lowered about 2 inches. The headlight is lowered. The bars are clip on and I had the original handlebar mount shaved, no turning back now. The engine runs awesome. The 4 into 1 Kerker exhaust sounds amazing as the video shows. Please note that the video was taken in 30 degree temps so the exhaust is visible, it is not burning oil. It does leak oil out of the lower left side cover. I was going to reseal that this winter but time hasn't allowed yet. The only rust on the bike is on the outlet part of the muffler. The frame, wheels, etc is all very dry and presentable. It's not a show bike, but it attracts crowds wherever you ride or park it. There are a couple dings in the tank. It has an integrated 12v trickle charger so you can just plug it in. I have records for around $4200 in maintenance in the past couple years. The bike is ready to get on and ride. I have a clear title for the bike and I will try to accommodate buyers with getting inspections, shipping etc, at the buyers expense. The bike is listed outside of Ebay and the auction may end at any time leading up to its close. On Nov-23-11 at 06:17:40 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention the Electric start works perfectly. There are no turn signals. The Tach and Speedo are functional. The engine has had extensive work done to it at some point as I was told by a friend who is very knowledgeable on vintage Honda bikes. I don't know what exactly was done... The bike is slightly cold-blooded as with most carbureted engines of this vintage. It is kept in a temp controlled storage in rural West Central, MN. I am happy to work with buyers on getting it to shipping terminals, etc. at buyers expense. I also have the service manual to go with the bike. Check out my other auctions for vintage motoring items! >br> On Nov-23-11 at 06:55:40 PST, seller added the following information: On Nov-26-11 at 13:39:05 PST, seller added the following information: I've had a few questions on the dings and paint condition on the bike. I've tried to take pictures of the dings and they won't show up on my camera. The largest is about the size of a Nickel. The paint is not broken. There are 3 total and only visible within 3 feet or less. There are a couple spots of touch up paint where there were small nicks in the paint. The largest is where the handlebars have turned into the tank. I have wet sanded and did several stages of polishing on the tank with a high end product and it brought out an amazing shine in the lacquer paint. The right side plastic oil cover has about a 1 inch crack in it and the left side has paint chipped that has been touched up and looks presentable. The odometer is showing 26,411 miles. Here are more pictures.
