Vehicle Detail
This is a nice driving Model A Ford Victoria up for bid. It is an early 1931 Ford with the fuel shut off valve conveniently located inside the firewall. I am selling this car for a widow whose husband purchased the car in 2005 to street rod. He passed away before any work started on this project. The early Ford does have a clear Pennsylvania title with a very low reserve for this rare and desirable body style. If you are looking for a fine point car, this is not it. It is a very presentable solid driving car. The car was probably restored in the 1980's with a typical Macco paint and body work.It has several dings and scratches that do not show up in the pictures. I will try to honestly describe the actual condition. 1. The body is decent with solid wood. It was patched and painted on a budget several years ago. 2. The fenders are all steel and are in fair condition. The rear right has slight damage, see picture. 3. The motor is nice, no smoke and runs strong. There very minor oil leaks, less then most Model A's. 4. The transmission is very smooth with no nosies. 5. Clutch is smooth with normal chatter under certian conditions. Nothing unusual for a stock Model A. 6. The rear ends appears to be good. No noise or end play. 7. The brakes are excellent. The front drums have brake bands installed and the reat drums are the very rare late '31 cast drums with the built in brake band. The shoes are very nice with new springs. 8. The interior is new and in very good condition. The shifter and emergency brake handle are new. The front seats are out of a Tudor sedan, but look very good in the Vicky. 9. Although there are 22,000 miles on the speedometer, I doubt if it is accurate. 10 The tires show minor dry rot, but do have good tread left. No sign of air leaks. 11. There are no shock bodies, arms or links. 12. The hood (slightly lumpy) and rear bumpers (painted black) are in poor condition, front bumber is in fair condition. 13.The radiator is a nice original with a new cap. The waterpump is a new leakless type. The hoses and clamps are new. The car does not seem to any overheating issues. 14. The electrical system is the original 6-volt type with a generator. All the wiring is new. The battery is brand new, purchased 11-15-11. Everything appears to be working correctly. 15. The carburetor is a rebuilt original Zenith, correct for this car. 16. The muffler/tailpipe are new. If you have any questions on the car, I would prefer to talk over the phone, but I will try to answer any emails. The car can be seen and test driven at anytime. It is located in Emmaus, PA. just outside of Allentown. Feel free to call any time 610-967-5027. Any sale is between the buyer and lady who owns the car. Thanks, Steve Ryan
