Vehicle Detail
1971 Chevy Chevelle Malibu. Original AC car with 350. Slightly older restoration with a lot of money invested into this nice runner. MOTOR: Mildly Built SBC 327 with gear drive, cam, headers, Edelbrock Performer intake and Carb, HEI distributor. New Radiator. Runs nice and smooth. Sounds great with that gear drive wine and lopey cam. Runs at 175-180 degrees all day and does not leak oil. Has Dual Flowmaster exhaust that exits before rear axle. TRANSMISSION: Turbo 350 automatic Transmission. Shifts nice and smooth and does not leak. REAR END: GM 12 bolt non posi, not sure of gearing. PAINT/BODY: Paint is Viper Red and body is very straight. Nice Steel Cowl induction hood. Needs to be hooked up to make functional. Has a couple of spots that need attention (SEE PICS). Worst spot on the driver rear tail panel above the bumper. Passenger side rear tail panel has a small hole on the inside corner. Passenger side quarter has a small spot on the very bottom. Driver sail panel where roof meets sail panel has a couple cracks. Above grill on the core support has some rust. A couple spots on the rear window where paint is bubbling. Floors and trunk are completely SOLID and undercarriage is nice and dry. Frame was cleaned and painted black. Bumpers were re-chromed when car was painted. The front has a little rust coming through but both bumpers are nice and straight with no dents. Rust is not really in typical spots on this car which leads me to believe that the prep work before painting and the fact that it sat outside for a couple years led to these spots. The rest of the car is super straight and looks awesome. This car does not have hidden rust or tons of bondo. These spots could be easily repaired and blended in to the existing paint. INTERIOR: Very nice Black Vinyl bucket seat interior like new condition front and back with center console and staple shifter. Newer Headliner. Carpet was faded from sitting but dyed black and looks very presentable. Dash has a crack where tach was once mounted. Missing radio. Has Auto gage tach with auto meter oil, temp and volt meter mounted below dash. SS Door panels are in decent shape. Weather stripping in pretty good but showing age in some places. Courtesy lights work thoughout. All gages seem to work properly. WHEELS: 15" Chrome Crager SS rims with BFG T/A tires 275/60-15 rear, 235/60-15 fronts with lots of tread left.Wheels showing some age. Have other GM SS 5-spoke wheels available for separate sale. BRAKES: Power Brakes work great and have good life left in pads. SUSPENSION: Basically stock with newer shocks. Power steering. Car drives straight and handles nice and tight. PERFORMANCE: This Chevelle is very responsive, has good power and shifts smooth. Power Brakes work great and car drives nice and tight and is very responsive. All in all this is a very night driver that just needs a few cosmetics. The car is mechanically sound and is an excellent runner as is. Hop in it and just drive it or take it to the next level without spending a bout load of money. Thanks for looking and good luck. This is a good Car! There is no written or implied warranty on this classic 1971 Chevelle Malibu. It is buyers responsibility to arrange shipping or pick up.
