1977 Toyota Celica GT Liftback: Celica lovers! I have up for bid a 1977 Toyota Celica Liftback, It is being sold as is, so take a look at my pictures to see exactly as it is, I usually restore these cars, but so busy with other things, no time, This car is in pretty good body condition, so it would not require a lot of body work, Best thing is,The car runs Great! I bought it from a friend who started to restore it, but couldnt finish, the car sat for 5 years, and he called me to buy it from him, I was going to part it out, the parts are worth more than im selling it for, but it was to nice of a car and there are not many "77" Celica's left, So after you look at the pictures, you can see , a little body work, a great paint job (paint it you favorite color), and a little interior work (a new dash cover is about $75 on Ebay, also I can have the front seats redone to stock and not too expensive) , and you could have yourself a perfect Classic Celica! Restore it to look the way YOU want it, This car can look like my last restore ( the last picture in the gallery, The Black Celica) Thanks for looking, 77sellica Exterior: As pictured the car has been painted Yellow over stock Orange/Red, my friend started sanding and covered it with red primer (mainly on the roof). The car does need some body work, but nothing really major, it is missing the rear side moldings ( I will include some with the sale of this car). Looks like there is a bondo chip on the driver side quarter panel (not bad,an easy fix). The car has some little rust spots that should be taken care of before paint (nothing major). Floorboards are good, spare tire area not too bad, 5 speed transmission shifts nice and smoothe,All the lights are in working order, New tires 185/70/14's have about 2500 miles on them, car has one odd rim, but the replacement is on its way, so by the time the auction closes it will have all 4 Supra rims. Clutch is good. Rear window needs new rubber (which is common, but easy to order) I have not done anything to the car mechanically, The brakes work fine, engine runs great, but a full tune-up, might make it run better, I did put in a new battery, No leaks noticed under the car. Interior: The front and rear seats have some ripping as pictured, Most upholstery shops should be able to repair them no problem (the shop I use can do them in a few days), You can purchase a dash cover on Ebay for this car, about $75.00. Car has a stock AM/FM radio with an 8 track player,( I dont know if it works, havent seen an 8 track in years :-) ). Good spare tire with jack and tools, All guages in working order. Needs a new headliner, ( I could do it with new material for $75.00) Windows roll up and down smooth. Engine: 20R motor runs great, does not run hot, or burn oil,(no smoke). Odometer reads 92437, I dont know if its original, or 192437, or 292437, I just know that this engine runs great, new battery and air filter.
