This auction is for a great 1976 ford Thunderbird and is being sold at NO RESERVE with an minimum opening bid of $1950. The car is in great condition considering it is a 35 year old car. The car is remarkable straight and runs out good (has a 460 CID engine). I just had the car serviced with an oil change, oil filter, front end lubed, brakes checked and all fluids checked and topped off. The car runs good with no unusual noises and does not smoke a bit (even after sitting for weeks at a time). The car shifts into and through all gears nicely with no noises as well. The underbody, rocker panels (inner and outter) and dog legs show no rust. I took photos of the underbody while it was at shop and will send them to you upon request. The odometer shows 78,381 miles and I was told these are the cars true miles but I have no way to verify so the car is being sold as "miles exempt". I can say as well as my mechanic that the condition of the cars, underbody, brake peddle, odmomter and engine tell me / him that it is a 78,381 mile car but you should see the car in person to make that decision yourself. All turn signals, running lights, brake lights, back-up lights, head lights ( high and low beams), interior door lights, dash indicator lights and interior dome light work. The interior is in good condition and has new carpeted floor mats ( front and rear). The headliner is in perfect condition as well all seat belts are present and working properly. The back seat upper back next to the rear window does need repair due to sun damage (easy fix). The passengers power seat, passenger power window, blower fan and radio ( AM/FM 8-track) are not working at this time. I have a new power antenna and it will come with the car to replace the one that is broken on the car. I have a "clear" North Carolina title and I'm ready for a quick sale so if you want to make an offer prior to auctions end drop me a line ( I will only use E-bays methods for closing the sale early thus we will both have some measure of protection during the transaction). The car is being sold WAY below book price ( see info below) and is a great candidate for a full restoration or to be used as a driver quality car on the weekends. I encourage all bidders to come see the car prior to bidding as it is a 35 year old car and I might have missed something in the description and want the new owner to be happy when they receive the car.
