Vehicle Detail

Matching numbers factory 4 speed 383 V8 Roadrunner. Just completed frame-off rotissouri restoration....body work and frame/mechanicals by Vince's Rod Shop in Shirley, Arkansas. Engine rebuilt by Eason's Machine shop in Heber Springs, AR....new driveshaft, 8 3/4 differential non-positrac original, I am the 3rd owner....new black interior from Legendary Interiors, and black carpet added instead of the original rubber floor covering....has extra sound proofing etc...new trunk mat...new dual H pipe exhaust with Dynomax turbo mufflers....electronic Pertronix ignition replaces old stlyle points, but still looks original...Engine received a Comp Cams upgrade along with the overhaul to give it some extra 'spunk'....still idles smoothly with the thumpety-thumpy sound like muscle cars should sound. Has 15"x7" period correct wheels in place of the little skinny 14" wheels on original...BF Goodrich Radial TA's, all new floor pans were welded in, all bearings, bushings, parts were restored/renewed. The paint is not the original Q code medium metallic, but a PPG color called Cloisantt Blue, single stage enamel. Engine was painted the correct Chrysler color for the roadrunner engine in 1968....they went to orange in 1969. Has correct 'beep beep' horn for 1968, which was black, not purple with the RR emblem. I found the build sheet under the rear seat cushion and put it in plastic. Original Plymouth owner book was in glove box. Car was stored in Missouri for several years when my neighbor found it and bought it....started the restoration, but finally decided he couldn't finish it, so I purchased it and finished. It has the inland shifter, not the Hurst version. I added front disc brakes in place of the original drum brakes (which were already completely restored), and have all that if someone wants to go back to them. I built it to drive safely and to shows, so installed the manual disc brakes. The original radio is in the car, but does not work...before this listing is completed, I will have had it restored and new fm/stereo internals installed to update it. The car has a new gas tank (almost all the restoration parts come from Year One), new brake lines, new fuel lines (3/8" replacing the original 5/16" fuel line for more flow), new front windshield, other glass is still the original glass. A very nice driving, good running Roadrunner....Pictures above are taken in Orlando, Florida while I'm on vacation....drove it from Arkansas at my home to the Emerald Coast Cruiz in Panama City Beach, then over the Orlando...will be there until after Thanksgiving week, so if you want to see it, call me, or if you need more information......Reece at cell: 501-589-5000On Nov-19-11 at 13:32:10 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention the new wiring harnesses from year one that were put in. KYB performance shocks all around. New speaker installed in the front dash. Heater unit was restored completely, all new firewall seals and insulation. Have not added the hood insulator to underside of hood yet.
