1968 OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS 455 "S" CONVERTIBLE I've had this car since 2003. I'm moving out of California or otherwise wouldn't be selling it. It was my daily driver for about 4 years (less than 2,000 miles per year as I work from home) before I put it into restoration in 2006. I put $20K into body, new interior, convertible top and all new paint. Since then it has been sitting covered in a garage, and started 1x per week. It's a gorgeous ride and I kept it well maintained when I was using it. The engine was great while I drove it, it's a 455, and is extremely powerful. Just about every time I drove it someone asked about it. It's a great looking car. I've been driving it around recently and it's great. I also had a mechanic take a look at it this week to make sure nothing new has come up and he signed off (and wanted to buy it!) FULL DISCLOSURE: Has been sitting for about 3 years, and in restoration for 2 years prior. Paint is new, but there's a chip on the driver's side door by the side view mirror (in picture) and some other minor flaws. Speakers were not mounted (or connected) during restoration as to not drill into the brand new paneling. They're in the trunk. Wheels have some rust and could be re-chromed. Tires could be replaced. Temperature gauge may need to be replaced. Recent mechanic infra red reading showed engine temperature less than that indicated on gauge. Needs some caps/plugs on the engine, see pictures.
