1972 Ranchero GT. Matching number 429. Factory Dealer installed Ram Air in excellent condition. In 1972 Ram Air was a rare option. A/C, Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Factory Tack & Guage package. Blue Plate California car from day one. No known rust issues. Two stage paint in original color 2B = Bright Red. It was cut and buffed and is stunning with no issues of any kind. Cost of paint was 5K. Interior is excellent. Dash has a small crack. New Tires. Gas guage works when it wants to. C6 transmission. Facotry 3.25 traction lock. Only 860of the 429 cars built. How many have functional Ram Air? I have been offered 3K for the ram air several times. Flow master mufflers. On Nov-15-11 at 07:11:55 PST, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD A LOT OF QUESTIONS REGARDING THE MOTOR AND THE RAM AIR SYSTEM. Its an N code 429 with the matching vin stamped on the back of the block. This ram air intake was a factory option for 1972 only.It is shaped different than 1969 to 1971. It is very rare. Most car guys do not know they made a ram air in 1972.It also was an option on a 1972 Montego GT. Production numbers for the Montego GT are 29 cars with ram air.On the Ranchero it was dealer installed to get around emissions so there is no record of production numbers.After a lot of research I found the owner of a 1972 Ranchero GT 351 ram air . He said less than 10 1972 Ranchero GT's were produced.If anybody has any info on this ram air please give me a call thanks Vince 408 6395598
