Vehicle Detail
1969 Pontiac GTO "The Judge" (REAL) This is a real Judge with PHS documentation. From what I can tell, this restoration was started in 1982, and never finished until now. When I received it, it had NOS front fenders, inner fenders, core support, and quarter panels. It still has its original hood, and shows no indication of being hit. The body was media blasted to bare steel, and retains its original floors. The frame was also media blasted to bare steel, and all new bushings, brake lines, fuel lines, etc. were installed. The frame was then clear coated to prevent future deterioration. The body was shot in acrylic urethane base clear, and has been cut and rubbed. This is the 34th Judge I have restored. What a great hobby! This is a numbers matching car. The motor was completely rebuilt, and includes .030 over TRW pistons. The rotating assembly was balanced. The heads have stainless steel valves, and hardened seats for todays fuel. A slightly hotter cam was also installed. The transmission has also been completely rebuilt. The rearend is its original 355 Posi with new Richmond gears and posi unit. The numbers on the car are as follows: vin# 9Z115686 Car build date: 01D= Last week of Jan 1969 Block: 9790071 Vin#9Z115686 J318=10-31-1968 Heads: #48 K308=11-30-1968 A099=1-9-1969 Intake: 9790140 J098=10-9-1968 Transmission: Vin#9Z115686 P=muncie 9=1969 B=February 01=1st A=M22 Rearend: XH=355 Posi Cast#9792977 E318= May 31, 1968 This car has just under 100 miles since completed, and runs and drives great. It is a beautiful example of when Detroit was building cars with style. I know purchasing a car over the internet can be intimidating, so personal and professional inspections are welcomed. If you have any questions, please call 509-929-0485. I am also looking for another Judge project, and would consider taking one in on trade. It must be a real Judge. On Nov-15-11 at 21:56:25 PST, seller added the following information: It was just brought to my attention that I made a typo on the transmission code. It should state M20, not M22.
