1979 Honda

1979 Honda XL500S. Excellent condition. It was fully redone 1 year ago. All the bike disassembled, all black parts powder coating, all the OEM parts that have wear were replaced, the tank, side panels and rear fender were left with the original paint and stickers, so the bike is in showroom condition. It drives and runs like a dream. Why i'm selling it? because i have an antique bikes collection, and i don't have time to ride any of them. This particular bike, was ridden only once since i finished the restoration. I have a clear title at my name, also i have 2 original keys, owners manual, dealer service booklet, factory set-up instructions for the mechanics that build the disassembled bikes here in the States, dealer flyer, original factory flyer, etc. The condition of the bike is excellent, i spent too much money on it, only to paint the complete exhaust with ceramic coating, cost me $ 900. The front tire is new OEM Bridgestone, the rear is a Cheng Shin ( it's the closes as original that i was able to get ) The battery is a new Yuasa, but since i didn't use it in 1 year, the charge is gone. You can charge it, but it'll hold the charge for 1 week only ( you can't get good batteries for this 6 volt systems ) Mechanically, it rides perfectly. The only thing that it has, like all the XL500S's, it has a very small oil leak on the valve head, since this engines work with a lot of oil on the top of the engine. Other mechanical things that i changed are the complete clutch with original OEM disc and spacers, and OEM chain and front and rear sprockets. Check on the pics that the chain still has the original white grease on it. The bike is located in Boynton Beach FL. If you want it shipped, you have to arrange with a shipping company. I'll not deliver it. Payment should be done $ 500 deposit via paypal right after the auction closes, and the remaining via check or cash in person ( if you pick up the bike by yourself ) The bike has no warranty, and it is sold as is.
