I have owned several xj12s over the years, and this is the best Iv'e had. I bought it because of its condition and low mileage. I have had it for about 5 years and done a great deal of work on it. I bought it from a man who had it since 1988, drove it very little and kept it in a garage. I have also kept it garaged.It has new tires, recent tune up with new plugs and high performance plug wires. I also replaced the gas tank due to a leak. I had the transmission rebuilt last year. The transmission shop said it had problems sue to fact that it was not driven with regularity over the years. It is due for new pads and rotors on the front brakes. The paint is in excellent condition and the interior is with the exception with the console wood veneer. It is a special production model that carried the Lister name which included spoilers all around and slight engine modifications. I am not knowledgeable about the Lister model, except that he was a big name in British racing design. I sold this twice on ebay, each time the winners backed out on the deal. That was discouraging but I decided to try again. I am selling it because I am losing my garage space and do not want to have to find storage for it. If you are looking for an XJ12 with a lot of life left in it--this is the one.
