Went on 500 mile trip on the bike this weekend. Hip is killing me. Doc says to young for hip replacement, give up the bike. Bummer. Runs great, rides great. Sat outside till paint faded off it. Since I bought it I have repainted, replaced belts, fork seals, stator, brakes caliper pistons, carbs. Put 20,000 miles on it last 3 years. Trunk looked like kids beat it with bat. Has plastic tool box for trunk. Have hardware, hinges and matching key latches for a replacement trunk if you so desire. Installed run/stop light to replace trunk lites. Big windshield. Tires 50% but starting to sing in the corners. Exhaust nice except for curb scuff right side (see pictures). Air suspension holds air front & rear. No radio (had sat radio feed to helmet, not included). Rt mirror broke, epoxyed back together, no adjustment (have extra left mirror goes with bike). If it sits for long time lifter on left side bleeds down, tick for 30 seconds before pumps up. Doing it since I had bike, no noise after it pumps up. Told it is common, what was wrong with adjustable tappets? Right valve cover will drip a couple drops on floor when sitting, must be the chrome covers (chrome get you home?). Will hesitate between 2,000-3,000 rpm if you hit throttle hard when its cooler out. Honda has an upgrade kit available for carbs (mid-range jets). Doesn't bother me, keeps me from flogging the bike. Always got good mileage (40-45) compared to other 1200 owners. Maybe all that chrome crap I took off.
