Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 Low Reserve! ! !Stunning and stunningly fast 5.7L professionally supercharged Doge Magnum puts out more horsepower and torque than a stock SRT8! Original owner, purchased new in July 2004 from Ferrero Dodge in Loveland, Colorado. All dealer and routine service are up to date. The car has never seen an accident or major mechanical problem. Along with a host of standard features (see Research link above) this one has the Electronic Convenience Group, which includes security alarm, steering wheel mounted controls, extra gauges and computer display screen, and three-station universal garage door opener. It also has a power sunroof and the optional, very beautiful, Inferno Red Tinted Pearl Coat paint. The interior is leather. It originally had a 6-CD changer; this went out a year ago. I replaced it with a single CD unit, which has an auxiliary input for your MP3 player. The rear speakers were just replaced with heavier duty units. The wear on the interior is minimal, with just a few mars and stains that would be typical for a vehicle with over 70,000 miles. The car has never been smoked in and to this day smells like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Modifications: 2005, Dynatech “Supermaxx” long tube headers, free-flowing catalytic converters, and a custom Aeroturbine exhaust. The Matthews Super Shop in Longmont, Colorado did this work. 2007, Custom front end including body colored headlights, body colored eyelids, big mouth grill, and front air dam; work done by Colorado Auto Body here in Denver. I also de-badged the body and removed the side moldings. This really gives it a slick, aggressive look. I added back a single, classic Ford V8 emblem because it simply looks right. 2009, Vortech supercharger, installed by Rocky Mountain Competitive Research in Colorado Springs. They are a “Tier One” authorized installer, and experts on the MOPAR hemi. Along with this came a Diablo Predator tuner and cold air intake. The original spec on the motor is 360 horsepower; my mods brought this up to an estimated 450 engine horsepower (dyno showed ~400 RWH and ~450 RWT at 5,300 feet elevation). The car has passed Colorado’s very stringent emissions test, including one just this past July (good for two years). There are simply gobs of power…. I do not condone street racing, but from red light to red light this is a real Mustang GT killer, yet can haul around your wife and three kids and a month’s worth of groceries. The original paint has been expertly maintained, including annual clay bar application, and the car is garaged year-round. I have tried to capture the very few flaws, including a door dimple, a slight crease in the rear passenger side quarter panel, a scratch and chip on the rear bumper, and some road rash on the front spoiler. There are also small paint chips in the front end that are typical of a car of this age. The windshield has a crack in the lower left side; it is not in the line of sight. Three of the four tires – Goodyear Eagles – are in excellent shape; one is due to be replaced soon. I have two tires off the car that have about half their life left that I will of throw in. Included with the vehicle is a box ‘o stuff… I have the original, chrome headlights, if that is your thing. I also have the original exhaust system if you want something quieter. The present setup is fine at cruise speeds (I installed dynomat from the tailgate to the front seats) but when you get into it, it is loud. I also have caliper paint (red), and some other stuff that seemed to accumulate over the years. The Kelley Blue Book puts this car – without modifications – at $12,290. NADA shows $14,650. I have around $10,000 in the supercharger, headers, tuner, and exhaust.PAYMENT: $500 down via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. On Nov-06-11 at 08:50:45 PST, seller added the following information:Update 11/6: Replaced deck lid and hood support struts and replaced an idler pulley that was making noise. Test drive shows this car is running strong and the whistle from the supercharger is awesome! On Nov-10-11 at 07:38:10 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE on Horsepower: I found the before and after dyno sheets done when the supercharger was installed. The actual numbers are 379.12 RWHP and 450.79 RWT. Conditions were 90.98 degrees, 23.92 inHg, humidity 6%, elevation 6035 feet. Using an online relative horsepower calculator, this means that the numbers were only 61% of actual baseline for a normally aspirated engine. Baseline conditions are 77 degrees, 29.235 inHg, 0 feet elevation and 0% humidity. This calculates out to a 234 HP increase at the baseline conditions for a normally aspirated engine. Of course, this is a supercharged engine, so I found where the NHRA uses 1/2 of the relative horsepower calculation for forced induction engines. Soooo.... 1/2 of 234 = 117 added to the dyno'd number of 379 = 495 RWHP under baseline conditions. YIKES! This is with the Vortech standard boost for this supercharger application of 5.5 PSI (keeping within warranty).
