1983 Suzuki Tempter GR650 This is a rare import bike, only available for a couple years in the early 1980's. This is what I've read. For it's age it is a very solid bike. I figure it's been in indoor storage most of it's days, as it shows no signs of weathering. All it's parts work and after rebuilding the starter and rectifier it proved to be a reliable bike, though it seems to require a full charge. It has a new battery and a trickle charge adapter, so just plug her in after a ride and she's ready to go. It has some very nice features like a shift indicator, fuel guage, tach, odometer and speedometer along with other lights to moniter vehicle condition. The mileage reads 8,104 today. And after doing a walk around, I'll describe what I see. There is a noticeable paint chip on the tank, which has been touched up. The inside of the tank is clean with no rust at all. The color, by the way, is a handsome burgandy and rust metallic two-tone. A reflector has been broken off by the fork trim, this was done when the bike was transported to it's present home. I tried to find a replacement piece, but parts for this bike a tough to find. One barely notices it is missing, and all the other lamps and reflectors are intact with no cracks or scuffs. The chrome and body panels are straight with no dents. The exhaust pipes are discolored as is typical of any machine. The chrome plastic by the rear taillamp is flaking, The seat is perfect with no cracks! The back tire may need to be replaced as it is nearing the wear bars. The rubber is good with no cracks. As I said all parts work and it stops, runs, shifts great. All cables and levers operate perfectly. All lamps and electrical system works fine too. It runs very smooth and quiet, and provides a very comfortable ride. The owner is a 6 foot 250 pound guy, and he brags on the comfort of the bike. He put 1000 miles on it in 4 months. The reason for selling, is that we want to upgrade to a newer bike.
