My father-in-law bought this bike in 1970. It has always been stored in doors. He had it professionally restored by the BMW dealership in Indianapolis, IN in 1995. The restoration cost aprox. $6000.00. They installed new BMW mufflers and pipes, wheels, paint and stripes. The bike runs and rides great. The carbs were just professionally rebuilt with new Bing gaskets and seals. The battery was also replaced. This is a matching numbers bike as seen in the photos. The bike has the large capacity "sport tank". There is a chafe on the side of the headlamp mount probably from a strap as seen in photo. The original tool kit is in the glove box.
