Vehicle Detail
*******UP FOR AUCTION; 1948 CHEVROLET C3100 PICKUP. YES... IT HAS A BLACK SEMI-GLOSS SEMI-SATIN FINISH IN SEM BRAND SINGLE-STAGE PAINT. NO... IT ISN'T A BARN LOT ENGINEERED, PRIMERED RATROD, JUNK, PUSH, DRAG, TRAILER TO THE LOCAL SHOW, PIECE OF CRAP. This truck was my project last winter and I have driven it to more than twenty-five car shows this year, in three states, totaling over 2000 miles (Check the window stickers in my pics). This is a very dependable vehicle and has many new and expensive parts. I have purchased my winter project for this year and need the garage space. The pickup will make a cool cruiser for anyone, it's comfortable, handles well and gets attention. The temperature hand stays low and the A/C will frost the back glass. Drivetrain; 350c.i.d. 5.7L(Fresh in 2008 w/ approx. 6,000 miles) with new plugs, wires, belts, hoses, rebuilt 600cfm Holley Carb, and 7yr. Battery 350 Turbo Hydra-matic transmission 10 Bolt late-model camaro rear differential featuring disc brakes Carmaro front Clip w/ power steering and Tilt w/ "sweet" u joints Body; ALL NEW in 2010 and 2011 Chrome Grille Assembly, Marker Lights, Champion Aluminum Super COoler Radiator w/ Lifetime Warranty, A-Z "Vintage Heat and Air" kit, Chrome Door Handles, Side Glass, Vent Windows, and Front Windshield, all Rubber Window and Body Seals and Window Sweeps, Black Loop Pre-molded Carpet, Sony CD Player, Vintage Style Dolphin Twin Gauge Assembly, Glovebox, Headliner, The Inside Cab Area was Painted a Shiny PPG Single- Stage Black, UniRoyal Tires, Speedometer Cable, Painless Wiring Kit, Headlamps and switch, Tail Lamps, Dual Cigarette Lighters, 4 wheel brake pads, Fuel Tank and Sender, Steel Running Boards and Bed-To-Board Valence Panels, Lh Cab Corner, Window Regulator Wheels and Integral Door Parts, and a slightly used 60/40 seat (88-93 GM P/U) and Tilt Wheel Column (86-93 GM S-10) The Exacts and Facts; This vehicle is NOT a show car obviously and isn't ready for you to take home and paint the same day. It will need the usual body work to make it "show quality". It was never intended for this for myself but could be for you. It was built to last and enjoy with quality parts. The fuel sending unit occasionally acts up and this causes the gauge to fluctuate. It needs to be removed from the tank and re-positioned. The oil pressure switch is bad and the gauge occasionally flutuates as well and sometimes reads correct (45-65) and sometimes doesn't read anything(8 Bucks). One of the control arm bushings has developed a squeak when you hit a bump(15 Bucks). The electric fan is undersized according to "Vintage Air" and sometimes when at idle for a long time with the air on, the temperature will climb to 200 degrees from the usual 175. The truck needs a larger fan to fix this but its not a necessity(45 Bucks). The rh window has a crack and needs replaced again (22 Bucks). These are minor things that i havent had the time to fix and are cheap fixes. Its not perfect, you can make it how you want it. ***This vehicle is sold as-is without a warranty and mileage is not actual. I request cash in person for the balance after the paypal deposit. I wont provide shipping but will assist in anyway if you arrange it. You may email me with any questions and i will return any calls if you leave your number in the email.
