Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE You are bidding on a 1978 Chevrolet C-10 High-roof Handicap Conversion Van with side wheel chair lift for sale $1500 or best offer / South Carolina. · High-roof conversion van with an operational 12V electric-hydraulic wheel chair lift complete with ‘D-rings’ to secure a wheel chair (where the passenger seat would normally be located). · This is a 1/2-ton, short wheel base with Power Steering, Power Brakes, TH-400 automatic transmission, 305ci / 2bbl carburetor. · Van originally had factory air cond., but it is presently in-operative (needs a compressor); the heater works good. · Has a JVC stereo with aux amplifier, but I can’t figure how to turn on the amp. · Engine and transmission were rebuilt 4-5 years ago and are both sound, but this van does need front suspension & some steering work (Lower ball-joints, tie-rods, etc). · Steering column gear shifter has a lot of free-play where the P-R-D-2-1 detents are worn out. · The body has no major rust (southern vehicle), but does have its share of bumps, bruises & rattles. We are selling this for a family friend whose health is failing and is in need of money. Make a responsible offer. Anyone who knows mechanics know this van parted-out would be worth considerably more than what this man is looking to sell it as a whole (no, we’re not interesting in parting it out). A lot of money was spent outfitting & customizing this van some years ago, but it now needs TLC to make it roadworthy & comfortable to drive again.
