This no reserve auction is for a 1995 Honda ST1100 Sport Touring Motorcycle. Here's the story of the bike:I purchased it end of last summer to go on a big fall tour with a good buddy of mine (I already own a smaller bike but needed something big for the ride), life happened and the ride never did (my buddy got sick). As it turns out my buddy won't be riding for a while so I bought his bike and this one needs to go to a new home. The previous owner was a self described "hillbilly engineer" and made many modifications to the bike, including 12v accessory outlet, LED blue running and LED driving lights, hardwired for Passport/Escort radar detector, built in battery tender and wired turn signals to also act like running lights. He also added a Givi Tinted Touring Screen and a few reflective stickers for max visibility. I like to ride and not wrench so I took it to the Honda dealer and had them do the major service early and carb synch (@28,757) in preparation for the trip. At that service I replaced plugs with Iridium Plugs, New Air Cleaner, EBC Brake Pads (over $900). I've ridden it a few thousand miles and occasional commuter. It currently has a Corbin seat, but if you prefer I will swap out the seat to stock saddle for the winning bidder. This is not a garage queen, it has a well ridden patina. It's a 10 footer, looks nice from away but has various nicks, scratches and the usual that goes with a bike of it's age. I attached an enhanced photo magnifying of the worst crack, it's on the tank where your knee covers it, it was like that when I got it. The Bad (I'm trying to be honest about the shortcoming that I've noticed):The previous owner drilled out the exhaust. He said it gave it more oomph. It does haul, I don't have anything to compare it to but it sounds louder than stock, not Harley loud, more Italian in tone, but from looking online at ST Owners they think their bikes have a mellow exhaust, this is not mellow.It smells gassy. It could be that he installed an aftermarket fuel shutoff or it could be the exhaust?It needs a new rear tire soon. Depends on how you ride but should make it anywhere a days ride away if you plan to ride it home. New Bridgestone Exedra G548 goes for $110-$155 depending on where you get it from. Front should last for the next life of the rear.Not sure if it is quirk of the bike or the make but you need to make sure the side stand is down when you take it off the center stand. If the side stand is up when you take it off center the spring gets stuck and must be reattached. I have some accessories but they are not included in this auction.
