Thank you for looking at this 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. This was the top of the line Cadillac of it’s time and was the last of the big ones– almost 20 feet long bumper to bumper. The huge 500ci motor pushes this land yacht with ease. Let’s start with what’s good: Mechanically it’s in good condition - motor is very strong and smooth, Transmission and drive train also runs & shifts very smoothly. Black cloth interior is in very good condition. It comes equipped for luxury, with opera lights, flip-down carpeted foot rests for the rear passengers, power adjusted seats, a power-assisted trunk closer, soft and supple cloth upholstery front and rear, fender skirts, and the longest wheelbase of any stock Cadillac. Black vinyl on top. All lights work. The power door locks, power windows, and the windshield wipers / washer all work fine. The power antenna & radio works as well. Car has both stock and after marketalarm system installed and in working order. Now, the not so good: Car used to be a daily driver. Stopped using it regularly when my job gave me a company car to use. Since then, the car has been driven only every once in awhile. As a result, it needs a new battery. Trunk also got a little damp (has a musty odor) – I think it was leaves in the gutter along the quarter panels that blocked rain water from properly irrigating out. There is a small oil leak - I never fixed the seal, just simply watch the oil level, and add a little every now and then (it doesn't lose an excessive amount of oil). There is significant rust on the the driver’s side rear quarter panel, as well as pockets of rust on the hood, under vynil liner, and elsewhere on the car. The air conditioner works very well for heat, but the AC doesn’t hold an AC charge (it will blow air). Cruise control does not work (indicator light comes on, but that's it). After market alarm was not installed 100% correctly– when driving at night, the dashboard lights will not illuminate unless the after market alarm goes off (then the dash lights flash on and off - like the head lights were supposed to). This is a simple fix –but I simply never had the time to go back to the shop. This car can be used as is – it is currently registered, inspected and street legal. Of course, registration and license plates will be removed prior to buyer picking it up. This would also be great project for the right person to restore it to its former glory.
