You are looking at a 1973 Firebird, as you can see this is going to be a project. Now for the Details, The VIN decodes this car as a 1973 Pontiac Firebird Esprit, 350 V8, 2 barrel carb, 350 auto trans. The previous owner stated to me that he drove it to the same place I picked it up about 10 years ago, I had it towed home and has been in my garage since. Someone had robbed the plug wires off of it, so I put on a new set and a fresh set of plugs and it started right up. So, yes it can run, I ran it for about 1 minute by pouring gas in the carb. It has no gas cap, so I have no idea how much junk is in the gas tank. Mechanically that is about all I know about it for now, it looks like it has a new starter on it and I don't think the engine trans has ever been out of the car. It is missing the throttle cable and kickdown bracket that would mount someplace on the back of the intake I believe. It isn't driveable. It has 2 brand new cooper tires on the front so I could push it around my driveway and garage, the back tires are rotten, but hold air and work fine for rollers. The wheels are factory 14", I have all 4 brushed trim rings and center caps to go on them. It comes with a fiberglass formula hood, there are no hood hinges that I have found so the hood is just sitting there. the hood latch assembly and cables are there and functional. The interior seems to be all there, I think someone swapped in this console since it has power window switches and the car doesn't have power windows. It has some aftermarket guages and a/c control also that aren't hooked up. I have a new dash cap to go over the factory cracked up dash. The seats are all complete with belts and all, just need to vinyl to be nice. It has a rear window defroster under the back deck. The body, it's good and bad.....The body seems really straight. the rear fenders have rust around the edges, some is all the way through and you can see where someone previously glassed them in. The lower section of the rear quarter in the worst spot since it was cut out and I don't have a pattern, but just buy the skin I guess. The front fenders both have rust through at the back of them were the windshield drains down the back side. the passenger fender is just sitting on the car, I had it off to weld in a new piece but never did. The driver side has a smaller hole, easily fixable. The rest of the car is solid. no rust in the trunk at all, it has the factory trunk carpet with plenty of stains on it too. factory jack included. All the glass is good, both windows roll up and down easily. I have a key and a clean Utah title. All the stainless or aluminum exterior trim is savable, it is only missing on corner piece for the back window,(where my finger is in the pic) Parts I know are missing, Grills, lower valance and blinker assemblys, rear bumper, rear filler panel between taillights.
