This car has been in my family since Oct 2002, purchased with 121,665 miles. Previous owner was in NC according to CARFAX. Records indicate engine was rebuilt at 97,000 miles by Jenkins and Jenkins in Charlotte, NC at a cost of $7,000 because of a rear main seal leak at that time. New cost on this car in excess of $48,000. Car has cold air (R12) and purchaser will get 4# of extra freon with car. (No known issues with A/C.) Headlights replaced with European style lights. Original headlights come with car also. Radio replaced with Radio/CD player. Original radio comes with car. This car is strong and runs good. It has a small back seat, but with no rear seat belts. Known issues include: cruise control inop, power antenna inop, soft top has two tears and could be patched or replaced, some corrosion at threshold under driver door (see photo). Also, there is some hail damage to this car on horizontal surfaces. (Photos depict.) Service records since 2002 are available. Car has new (1.5 yr old) dash as original one had cracked. Original Owners Manual and History Channel DVD on "Mercedes-Benz SL" included with car. It is a fun car to drive. It was used 3 weeks ago for a beautiful cruise through the Smoky Mountains.
