CLASSIC 1986 JAGUAR VANDEN PLAS SEDAN ALL ORIGINAL This ia a very solid and original classic XJ with six cylinder engine and automatic transmission. We purchased this a couple years ago from a Jaguar mechanic and it has been well maintained. Being in Utah most of it's life it has no rust and only minor dings. It has the original paint which is losing the clear coat in places so it could use a fresh paint job. We have not driven it much the past few months and when I started it today it has a rough idle.Maybe a tune up or fresh gas would help. It runs down the freeway smoothly,steering is tight,brakes are good,Tires are almost new. Air conditioner needs recharged. Utah has a yearly safety inspection which it passed recently with no problem. It is currently titled and registered. One of the wire wheels had a loose spoke and we took it to a shop for repairs and it was lost. It now has 1992 Jaguar wheels on it but three of the original wire spoke wheels are included. I have seen the wheels on ebay for about $100 if you want to switch back to wire wheels you have that option. The original floor mats and wheels are in the very spacious trunk. This is really is a very comfortable and smooth rolling luxury sedan with classic Jaguar styling. I had thought about doing the 350 Chevy conversion but since it is so original and complete I just could not bring myself to do it.
