Up for auction at NO RESERVE is my 1975 Pontiac Catalina. I have been enjoying it for local cruises and such,and now it is time for someone else to. I am only the second owner of this car, and it has just 43k original miles. It has a 400 cubic inch big block V8 that runs fantastic! The transmission shifts smooth and crisp just like it should, and this thing just floats down the road. The brakes are excellent and the exhaust is smooth and quiet. It really goes down the road great with no rattles, bangs or such and has a great solid feel. I just drove it to a car cruise-in 2 weeks ago that was 120 miles round trip. The paint on the car is original (except some touch up between the trunk and rear window) and is what I would call presentable, so you can really see what you're getting knowing it hasn't been redone already. If you wanted it to be perfect, it could really use new paint, however it is very much drivable as is for local cruise-ins or just that nice weekend drive. I did have a shop put on a brand new vinyl top this year as the original one was starting to show it's age and detract from the cars appearance. The car is VERY solid underneath and has absolutely no rust in the floors or underbody. I tried to get a picture as best I could to show this. It appears that it was undercoated when it was new. There is some rust at the very bottom of the fenders right behind the tires in some spots. Not that bad at all for a 37 year old car. The interior is in excellent shape for it's age and is also original, please see the pictures, I always get lots of compliments on the interior. It does have 2 cracks in the dash that you can see in one of the pictures, and one tear in the headliner about 2 inches long between the sun visors. Just normal wear and age beyond that. The tires all have 75% or better tread left. It does not leave any oil spots where I park it and does not seem to burn any oil between changes. Some things that it could use: The exterior mirror on the drivers door got broken off, and I just have not gotten one yet. I did trim what was left smooth because it had a bit of a jagged edge. The turn signals work fine, however the little light in the dash that should blink for the right signal doesn't (they do blink outside) so it must be burnt out. Also the right front turn lens is broken and you can see that in the pics. Overall, this is a great cruiser as is, or fix it up if you like. I have clear title in hand.
