FORD GALAXIE 500 "XL" CONVERTIBLE 1964 This is a rare original "XL" convertible complete with all XL trim moulding, wheel covers and bucket seats. The 64 Galaxie is considered the most attractive with the best lines & style of all time. The engine is a 289 with an automatic transmission, this car gets great mileage. This exceptional vehicle is an excellent road car which drives like new and turns heads where ever it goes. I purchased this car in June of 2011 from an estate sale and cleaned it up and installed 4 new tires, dual exhaust (complete with glass pack mufflers and chrome tips), major tune up: wires, plugs, rotor, cap, condensor, points, belts, hoses and chrome dress up kit. This car has a plush all white vinyl interior with bucket seats/console, all exceptional. The outside color is dark red/burgundy with very nice chrome. The top works great, however, the fabric will need replacement in a few years. You can drive this car any where! I showed this Galaxie all summer - it is a thropy& show winner.
