Up for bid one 1965 Willy's Jeep. This jeep has a steel hard top with steel doors with operable roll up and down windows. Tailgate opens and closes. All glass on this jeep is good, not cracked or fogged. This top can be removed with very little effort. It has a billit dash with stewart warner guages, spedometer, and tachometer. Seats are in good shape. Tires and wheels are good. The engine is a V-8 out of a 1957 Chevy. All the parts on the engine are correct. Carborator, manifolds, generator, distributor for a 1957 283. This engine originally had a power-glide transmission behind it. Runs very well. The engine has new heater hoses, upper and lower radiator hoses, plugs, points, cap, and wires. Engine also has chrome valve covers, chrome air cleaner, and chrome fuel pump that are all new. Steering is tight, not wore out. 4-wheel works good. Every grease fitting took grease with no effort. As you can see by the pictures, there is some rust through on the body. I have ground down the areas where the rust is so there is no surprises to the buyer. I believe this was a military jeep when it started its life. There are numbers stenciled on bottom side of hood, has the cut out in the hood for high-water operation. The jeep is in generally good condition. Needs brakes and a little TLC on the body and then you will have a decent older jeep. There will be a reserve on this unit. The reserve is not going to be very high. I took this in on trade and started to restore it, but found a 1958 Jeep wagon that I am building into a surfing wagon so no longer have need for the 1965 Jeep. Mileage is not required on this old of vehicle. I put 300,000 miles so no one would think this vehicle is brand new. There should be no confusion on this unit because miles are unknown.
