For Sale by Owner – 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually 5.9 Cummins 12 Valve Diesel, 4WD Low Miles – 105,635 This truck is in very good condition for being 14 years old. This is a SLT Laramie edition with power windows, power door locks and AM/FM Cassette player. This truck also has a new starter, new brakes, new rear bumper, new Herculiner bedliner and new 4” exhaust. Other then exhaust, the truck is completely stock. This truck has never had a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. All in all this is a very clean, hardly used and never abused truck. I’ve known the prior owner of this truck since he purchased it from the local Dodge dealer’s used car lot with approximately 8,000 miles. This is a 12 valve engine – NOT a 24 valve which are known for a #53 block problem in some years. This truck has had the KDP (killer dowel pin) tab already installed. Please keep in mind you are bidding on a 14 year old truck, it has been well cared for but is not showroom condition. There are no cracks in the dashboard. I recently had this truck painted due to peeling paint on the roof and hood. There was a small rust spot on the passenger side front fender, so prior to paint I replaced it with a OEM fender from another Dodge truck. I also repaired a small rust area along the bottom edge of the tailgate. Additionally, I recently had the transmission serviced along with transfer case. Everything on this truck works as it should. There are 2 small chips in the windshield that passed through inspection when I purchased the truck that do not show up in the photos. I’ve tried my best to describe this truck in as much detail as possible along with the photographs. Please keep in mind this is one of the best engines Cummins ever made and there are not very many clean, low mileage, 12 valve trucks around any longer – so bid to win.
