Believe it or not, this Karmann Ghia actually runs. We bought it several years ago to restore and resell. Just turn the key and the engine starts, idles, and runs fine. (You will need to provide your own battery. Also the accelerator pedal is missing.) The manual transmission is also fully operational. The odometer reads 07981, but we're not sure how many actual miles it has on it. Our mechanic had been working on it, but due to recent health issues, he is no longer able to continue restoring it. He replaced the driver's door and the floor panels. We also have the replacement windshield for it. He said that it basically needs the interior re-done, the convertible top restored, and a new paint job. As you can see from the photo, the mechanics of the convertible top are included in the sale. We've also included a spare door, seat parts, door handles, mirrors, and other miscellaneous parts. This is obviously not driveable in it's present condition and will need to be transported at the winning bidder's expense. With a bit more work in the hands of someone with good restoration skills, this very collectible car could be happily cruising down the road once again.
