DO NOT LET THIS BARRACUDAGET AWAY! There is NO RESERVE BID TO OWN! I am listing this car for a friend. The specs I have listed, are what I was told. If you need other information that is not shown, please email me thru ebay, or call me at 323-369-1571 I will do my best to answer it or find out for you. Please be patient. This car was purchased as a stock Barracuda and taken apart and built again from the ground up. *** WARNING ***If you do not like FAST cars, please move along, this isn't the car for youThis car is half street, half race and will require a special kind of owner This Cuda is a thing of beauty but has a serious wild side and it might be best in the hands of a gearhead who can properly handle, care for, and maintain this amazing muscle car. Now that I got the disclaimer out of the way....here are the details Be sure to scroll down and watch the video!!(apparently the link I provided caused the auction to get pulled down previously...ebay is so frustrating!) 1968 Barracuda (notchback) Chrysler Mopar 340 V-8 engine 620 miles on odometer (Yes....620 actual miles since engine and transmission were installed in this vehicleGarage keptClean title (shown in photos below)Continuously registered and insured since purchased in 1994ALL steel body-STRAIGHT Color: Sassy Grass GreenRoss forged pistonsForged CrankshaftCrankshaft was balanced (the tag that shows the specifics of the balancing is shown in photo album photos) Angle Cam with533 Lift282 Running durationValve Lash 018/020 (see image of tag from Engle Racing Cams) Moroso timing gear W-2 Race heads (flowed and ported) Headman Hustler headersHamburger oil pan Chrysler chrome box electronic ignition Line Lock (video shows demo of Line Lock in use) Holley Carb (installed new Sept/2011) 670 CFM,Vacuum secondary, electric choke Chrysler 904 transmission (converted to manual valve body)high stall torque converterMopar high performance master cylinderEarl’s high performance braided fuel lines (installed new Aug/2011) New battery (installed Sept/2011) (battery location is in the right side of trunk --great feature!--)Centerline Rims High flow custom exhaust with flowmasters Chrysler 8-3/4 Posi rear endMopar single piston front brakes Autolite Gauges Electric fuel pump (which can clearly be heard on the video)Fuel pump kill switchB & M ShifterTransmission cooler4 row radiatorCustom Interior & UpholsteryRoof Headliner (Black)Carpet (Black) Black seats with "Sassy Grass Green" piping accents There are so many great features of this classic 1968 muscle car! If you have specific questions, I will do my best to answer them. So.....the back story on the car is that my friend bought it in the 1990's and wanted to completely do a ground up restoration/customization. This took quite a long time and a LOT of $$ CASH $$!! Once it was completed he realized shortly afterwards that the car probably wasn't for him. He told me it is a lot to handle and a very powerful auto. If you don't like constant attention then this car is probably not for you. I also think partly because the project was completed, it was time to move on to another hobby, another obsession. This amazing Cuda was driven just over 600 miles and then it was parked in the garage and it’s been there ever since. Literally been sitting at least 8 years but maybe more like 10. When we got it out to prepare it for sale, the first thing we noticed was that it needed all new Earl's high performance braided fuel lines and fittings. Next it needed a new battery. Then, off to a high-performance shop to get it tuned up by a muscle car specialist. While it was in the shop, a new Holley carburetor was installed. (The previous carb had just been sitting for too long) Finally we got it detailed so it would look sharp for the next owner! The cost of all these things to prep and ready it for sale was almost $1000! CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO WE JUST SHOT OF THE CAR! Keep in mind this car is part street and part race and will require special attention and should not be confused with a stock 68 Barracuda. I am sure most of you reading this understand exactly what I am talking about, I just don't want any misconceptions for the others who do not. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! Some of you may have been bidding on a similar Cuda listing recently The reserve on that car was never met. We WANT this car to sell! This car deserves to be owned and cherished. There is a reserve but we actually do want you to own it so if you put your serious bids out there, this amazing car can be yours. We strongly prefer for you to pick the car up and pay for it in person but if you have an alternate plan in mind, please discuss with me before placing bids. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 5 FEEDBACK, PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE AND ASK PERMISSION BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID! SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY! Payment must be cash (in person), or cashiers check (processed at bank, together), or bank wire transfer. Please ask any questions beforehand about this process. We will not accept payment methods that we choose to not use. Payment must be cashed, or clear bank (in some cases this can take up to 21 days) Once the payment has been finalized, arrangements to pick up the car, or have it transported can be scheduled. Please ask all questions about the car, or questions about the finalization of the sale, or transfer of ownership... BEFORE BIDDING! Please do not wait until the last 24 hours of the auction to ask a question. This is an AS-IS Sale
