1986 GMC 7000 Chipper Truck. This truck has been taken out of service due to a transmission or clutch problem. The truck would seem to allow you to go through all the gears one day and then not the next. This truck was taken out of service in March of 2011. We have used this truck for approximately 8 years. This truck has always had a great running engine and the dump works. The hoist and the bed are in really good shape for the age of the truck. The bed is solid. I considered taking the bed off and putting it on a new truck. The truck has run twice since March. Prior to listing this truck, I attempted to start the truck and could not get it to start. The truck battery was jumped, will turn over but did not fire. I am simply too busy to try to work on it. I am confident a mechanic could get this truck running in just a few minutes of fooling with it. Regarding the transmission/ clutch issue, I have no idea what is wrong, but would assume this would be very fixable if you have a mechanic that works at a reasonable rate.
